Saint Andrew School Education Ministry

Founded in 1925, Saint Andrew School is a Catholic educational community dedicated to fostering the Christian ideals of love, respect, and service. Our school program is designed to help our students develop and mature spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and physically so they may meet the challenges of our changing world with Christian values and academic excellence.

Box Tops For Education—The simple act of saving certain box tops and labels help the school acquire physical education equipment. Contact the school for guidance on appropriate box tops and labels.

Home School Organization (HSO)—Parents, teachers, and community work together to support Saint Andrew School students by sponsoring fund-raising projects, coordinating community building, and child oriented programs. The volunteer time and talent coupled with a loving spirit of generosity earmark this organization. This wonderful group enriches the student’s lives in a myriad of ways.

School Board—Saint Andrew School Board is a group of dedicated parents and community persons who are dedicated to the growth and development of Saint Andrew School. The board functions in an important advisory capacity to the principal and pastor. Meetings are held on a regular basis.

Scrip Program—The Scrip Program benefits St. Andrew School and tuition assistance, by purchasing certificates for food, clothing, restaurants, etc. A percentage of the certificate value is returned to the school or may be used in the tuition rebate program. Certificates may be purchased at the school.

The School—Saint Andrew School provides instruction in grades Kindergarten through six and operates under the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Diocese of Harrisburg. Academic excellence is emphasized in the areas of religion, reading, spelling, mathematics, social studies, music, art, physical education, and computers. After school care is available for students enrolled in Saint Andrew School.  The faculty brings to the classroom a deep commitment to Catholic Education. Saint Andrew School student’s test scores consistently exceed the national average. Volunteers serve an important role in the overall operation of the school.

Volunteers—The heart of our school are our volunteers. Helping a child takes many forms, lunch recess supervision, individual learning support, building and grounds maintenance. etc.
