The Liturgy Ministry strives to nourish and give direction to the liturgical and worship elements of the parish. Please refer to the front of the printed bulletin for information on Mass Schedules, Reconciliation, Weddings, and Baptisms.
Altar Servers—Girls and boys, grade four and up are welcome for this ministry. They assist in the weekend Eucharist, weddings, funerals, and other special events. A training program is conducted as announced.
Eucharistic Ministers—These ministers assist in the distribution of communion on weekends, Holy Days, and other special celebrations. Some ministers also distribute communion at local nursing homes and to parishioners sick at home. Selection is by the Pastor and required training is conducted on the Diocesan level.
Funerals—Arrangements are made in conjunction with the funeral home and the pastor.
Greeters—Individuals to welcome parishioners on the weekend Masses and special liturgies. Your friendly smile, warm handshake and kind word would be appreciated.
Lectors—Those called to proclaim the Scriptures at weekend Masses and other celebrations. Parishioners are invited to share in the ministry of God’s Word. Training sessions are required.
Organist—In addition to the weekend Mass and other special liturgies, she is available to play for funerals and weddings.
Para-Liturgical Celebrations—Periodically, para-liturgical services such as Evening Prayer, Vespers, and Tennebrae are held, primarily in Advent and Lent. The bulletin will provide times and dates.
Ushers—Persons to assist parishioners in seating, direct the collection and presentation of the gifts, and facilitate the procession of communion.
